Suggest Remedy For Flu-like Symptoms With Swollen Throat
I have had ful like symptoms and a swollen throat for three days. I went to my doctor today and tested negative for kidney infection, flu, and strep. He gave me steroids for my throat and the swelling went down but I noticed a lump on the back of my uvula. Should I go back to my doctor? Could it be a sign of something else?
Swelling can be because of an abscess formation. In such case antibiotic therapy would be required. I would suggest you visit back to your primary physician for confirmation. Meanwhile: > Take lots of fluids( water, juices) > Take hot water in a cup, add 1 table spoon salt in it. Perform gargles (mouth wash) with it three times a day for at least 3 days. It will give soothing effect.
