Suggest Remedy For Fluid Filled Bruise On Foot

I has a swollen bruised area on the top of my foot just down from my ankle that got bumped apparently a few weeks back. Now it is red, swollen and feels like a fluid sac is forming there. Wearing a shoe on it is painful. Does it need to be drained, or seen by a doctor or what? Thanks for your advise

Hi,
I went through your query and can understand how troublesome it must be for you. It seems that the tissue underlying your skin was damaged due to trauma and a result it has become red and swollen. I would advise complete rest of that foot, elevate that foot while sleeping by propping it on a pillow or two. take some painkillers if it hurts too much. Also look for pain during movement and discharge of any yellowish pus like material. If such happens, a visit to your local doctor is mandated.
