My doctor is watching my hcg levels and uterus size. 2 ultrasounds found fluid outside of the uterus that is becoming a smaller pocket. Cannot find a fetus. Is this an ectopic pregnancy? Bled 2 weeks ago heavily with a lot of tissue and then pregnancy home test came out positive 2 weeks after bleeding. Hcg levels are 1100 now. Is my body able to absorb this on its own. is it possible it will clear up without surgery or meds?
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Bleeding with fluid outside the uterus is indicative of ectopic pregnancy. It can also be due to pelvic inflammatory disease. Ectopic pregnancy can be managed medically or surgically. It has to be decided on the basis of ultrasound and hCG levels. I would suggest you to get treated as soon as possible to avoid further complications. Hope you found the answer helpful. Wishing you good health. Regards, Dr Deepti Verma
