Suggest Remedy For Fungal Infections In The Scalp

hi doctor. am a zambian aged 20 and i suffered from a fungal infection on my scalp about 4 years ago. proble is my hair has not grown back since. i found a herbal product called sanjeevani/sanjivani. and i wanted to enquire about it. it says it cures balcnes by opening the pores so yhe dead hair folicles can start to work again. havnt been able o order a bottle for myself as i never get any responce from them. would yu happen to know anything anou t this product or do you have a product you can recomend? am desperate, pliz help

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis caused due to fungal infection and leading to shedding of flakes over the scalp and also cause hairfall as the hair follicles are destroyed by the fungus..
I would suggest you to consult a Trichologist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical examination and can also advise you to do investigations like microscopic examination of the scraping from the scalp..
You can be advised to use shampoos containing Ketoconazole, coal tar, salicylic acid, zinc, selenium..
Sulfide containing shampoos can help..
You can also be advised to apply steroid lotion over the scalp..
You should wash your scalp every alternate day.
Keep the scalp dry and clean..
