Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 44 year old African American woman. I've always been 5.8 and was recently told at a doctors visit that I was now 5.7 (?) and I weigh 186 lbs (need to lose about 20). The last three days I have eaten lots of popcorn (was in Chicago) and now I am belching a lot and have this pain in my left breast. It has happen before and I was told that I have gastroitis. Can this pain be a direct result of my indigestion?
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your stomach upset.
As per your history it seems to me you have reflux esophagitis which happens because of constant food in stomach and distention because of the gas present in stomach.
You need to avoid late night food and drink for some time. Take esmoprazole tablet empty stomach in morning for at least 2 weeks.
Yes the pain can be because of acute gastritis or esophagitis.. Hope my answer will help you and you will write to us if you feel any further assistance needed.
Regards Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
