Suggest Remedy For Hard Bumps On Calf With Swelling And Nausea

I have varicose veins in my left leg & had to wear compression hose when I was pregnant 6 years ago. We were playing soccer & the ball hit my left calf where the worse vein is & now a hard bump has appeared & is painful when I apply pressure. I put ice on it & elevated it, but am feeling nauseous & the swelling is not reducing. Should I apply heat instead?
