Suggest Remedy For Hard Stool During Pregnancy After Taking Orofer Xt.

hello doctor
I am taking medicine - orofer xt for last 4 weeks as my haemoglobin was 8.5 and my doctor had prescribed this medicine... its currently 3rd month of my pregnancy... due to this medicine I am facing issues with hard stool... it is so hard that i have started bleeding, please advise what needs to be done

Hello,
Oral iron can cause constipation.
I would suggest to take polyethelene glycol with water .
This should help you with the constipation. Consult your doctor for a prescription.
In addition to this drink plenty of fluids and increase servings of vegetables and fresh fruit in your diet
