Hi there, I knocked my head very hard against a beam under our house. It was quite painfull, but after an hour I was ok. I do get headaches but mostly before I get my period. I have been having headaches on and off for the past week and hav not seen a doctor. Please advise
First of all, you should be put under a medical supervision for 24 hour after a head trauma. If you had a deterioration in the level of your conscious, you would do an CT brain. Before the period the fluctuation of the hormone levels is associated with vascular instability, which can cause a headache. Moreover, you should take a pain killer after the head trauma and bed rest for 3 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
