Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing heartburn for several weeks, mostly at night when i lay down. Tums usually helps and i only needed one. The last week however, my heartburn is pretty bad requiring 4-5 tums per day. 2@a time. Then the heartburn comes back a little while later.I have had for the last 10 years difficulty swallowing with my first bite of food then a drink of water relaxes my esophagus &I can finish my meal. I ve changed my diet to basically bland and lighter meals. Thought I was better but now have a queasy stomach and have developed a sore on the tip of my tongue. I take no medication and all my lab work is normal. I am healthy and active. Normal BP.
