I am a 44 year old female. 5'8" - 141 lbs. I have always been very athletic, but over the last couple of years due to a very stressful job have not exercised like I used to. I am about 6 lbs heavier than I usually am and out of shape. My problem is over the last year or so I have experienced the feeling that my legs are heavy and tired after just a short walk, 40 min. is about my max now. (I used to walk an 1 1/2 hour with ease) Since my legs feel heavy, I don't pick up my feet as much and have tripped and fallen several times. What do your suggest, a vascular surgeon seems extreme, would some type of exercise be suggested first?
