Suggest Remedy For Heavy Bleeding With Clots

Hi I'm on the pill and going by the pill which I've taken for 2 years now I'm not supposed to be on my period but I am and this time there is huge clots coming out and very heavy bleeding which is completely unmanageable. Both a pad and tampon are getting completely soaked within 20 minutes and I'm having to change my clothes at all those times as there's so much it's running into all my clothing. Can I go to the hospital for this or is there something to take?
