Suggest Remedy For Hematomas In Forcep Babies

My grandson was a forcep baby. He had a rough birth and two LARGE hemotomas. All he does is cry, hardly sleeps at all, throws up after most feedings. He is 9 weeks old and we took him to Childrens Hospt. here in Pgh, Pa. They ran all tests and now sent out blood for genetic testing. No one has any abnormalities and we just have to wait 4-6 weeks. My daughter is a nurse and is beside herself. Do you have any ideas where else we can research? He is on the formula that has no prorien sto see if that helps with is cramping. He really appears to be in some sort of discomfort.

Pediatrician 's  Response
I guess the hematomas have resolved by now. Hence his discomfort seems to be due to either gas in the stomach, or some other problem such as a runny nose/blocked nose due to cold. I suggest that you give him feeds of normal milk, and offer simethicone drops orally to fight the stomach gas.
