Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking 3 to 4 tramadol a day for a couple of years now for my herniated disks and arthritis. My doctor s office now demands that I come in every 30 days, pay a co-pay in order to get my prescription filled. They tried to say it is federal law but I cannot find anything in the recent DEA regulations that state that I must be seen by my physician every 30 days; just that I need a separate prescription for each time it is filled. What is the truth? Are the people in my doctor s office just trying to get more money out people like my and my insurance company?

If there is any medicine which are available over the counter than you can take them with out meeting with doctor. I would suggest you to follow these steps. 1.Discuss with your doctor if you can get a online prescription. 2.If these medicines or alternative drugs available online than you can buy that . 3.Avoid lifting weight, forward bending or travelling, it will causes less pain in your spine. 4.Hot water fomentation is also helpful.
