I had a cyst removed from my lower lady parts and the doc put stitches in. The stitches are the dissolving kind and im pretty sure they dissolved..however, i thought the stitches were supposed to seal the skin together.. there is still a hole where the cyst was and it looks like it may not have sealed all the way. And it is very painful.
If there is a hole and if the stitches have not healed properly then there may be an infection that is causing the pain. This itself may lead to further non union of stitches. Please check if there is any discharge from the area.
Cleaning and dressing the area [ if possible] with antiseptic like betadine and use of pain killer and antibiotics helps to cure it in most cases. However you will need to see your doctor for all this and discuss the issue.
Please do not worry. These problems are not uncommon and proper treatment leads to cure in all cases.
