Hello Dr. Last Monday night I fell down 3 concrete steps, passed out and was carried inside to the couch by husband and son, one had my legs, the other my arms. Tuesday woke with pain all over, and pain in throat, chest and upper back when trying to swallow any liquids or food. Also had surgery April 29th for female prolapses, enterocele, rectocele, bladder sling, urethral lift, vaginal vault suspension; using mesh and skin. I am sore inside that area since the fall also as well as feeling the need to urinate a lot yet most times unable to do much. I am guessing this also could be due to not being able to drink hardly since Tuesday when i woke, or hardly eat. (None of the above pain was prior to this fall) I went wednesday to family practice, she gave me a minty tasting chalky liquid to drink that also had numbing agent in it, that numbed my throat chest etc, then sent me for chest xray - frontal and left-side. Those came back fine she said, and felt what I had was a Hiatal Hernia and told me to get Malox or Tagamet and GasX. I did. It s been several days, now Sat, and I am no better. Pain still there with swallowing. Also, on Thursday I went to the urologist who did my surgery, explained to the RN there since my dr was gone what has happened and how i feel down below and inside, and she had me urinate in a cup, which was about a tablespoon worth, and was sending it out to be tested for infection, and did a bladder ultrasound, that showed i still had 3ml of urine in my bladder after just going.. which I did leak out when getting dressed after the ultrasound. I was told after 15 mins that the dr on call was putting me on Keflex 200mg 2 times a day, and that within 5 days i would have results from urine, and they would see me for my regularl scheduled FU on Aug 18th. I am not sure what to do at this point. I feel miserable, weak, nausea and loss of appetite completely. Any advice please?
