Suggest Remedy For Infection After Ear Piercing

Hi, I got my ears pierced 2 weeks ago and at first they were really swollen and very red and painful (probably because the earring post was too short), so I changed the earring to 14k gold with a longer post. However, for a few days now, the piercing has had yellow pus and bled a little. I have been using antibiotics prescribed by my doctor from when the piercing was very swollen and red but now the pus and blood don t seem to be getting better. It s not really red or swollen now, and is only sometimes itchy. What should I do?

Hello

You have developed an infection of the ear lobes and i would like you to remove the piercings, please keep the area dry and apply mupirocin ointment 2-3 times a day. If the swelling does not decrease in 3 days, meet your doctor for a prescription of antibiotics, as you may need to continue for a few more days. The itching will stop once the infection is cured.
