Suggest Remedy For Infection In The Cuticle

I have not been feeling well lately and was diagnosed as prediabetic two years ago. I just checked my blood glucose level at it is 287. I am on multiple medications for chronic pain, mainly NSAIDs, Metaxalone, Methocarbamol, and Amitriptyline. I m afraid I may be anemic, because I am really fatigued and have multiple little bruises all over my body. I weigh 118, but my normal weight has been around 130 when I was more active. Lately I ve had steroid epidurals for a pinched nerve in my back and other steroid injections in my facet joints and SI joint. I m 46 years old and am generally in good health despite the pain, but lately I ve developed some type of infection in my cuticle that won t seem to heal. I didn t realize I had to pay for the answer. Sorry, I m going to bed. I can barely walk anymore.

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is paronychia which is a bacterial infection of the lateral nail fold in cuticle. It is more common in diabetics and pre diabetics.Topical antibacterial creams like mupirocin may be used along with oral antibiotics like cefadroxyl after consulting your dermatologist. Avoid excess use of soaps and detergents. Regards
