Hi, Noted your history of an infection in throat a couple of weeks ago, painful swallowing, white stuff at the back of throat, got penicillin shot, coughing and other symptoms continue, As per the history you have provided, this looks to be a case of severe pharyngitis causing all the symptoms. I would advise you the following: Consult your Doctor, preferably an ENT Surgeon for proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations of throat swab, blood and X-ray Sinuses for proper diagnosis. Get started on proper course of an antibiotic. You also have to take an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen if it suits you. Symptomatic treatment with anti-tussive to control coughing. Supportive treatment in the form of multivitamins, povidone iodine gargles, Plenty of oral fluids to maintain hydration. All these things done together alone can help you to get out of the problems.
