I smoke meth a couple times a month for about a year. My throat is a little inflamed, my lungs feel tight & I feel the need to cough . I know meth is bad, but I know people who smoke more than me and they don t feel bad. Will my lungs feel better after a little while?
Hi, Welcome to healthcare magic. I had gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Smoking methamphetamine could irritate and damage the respiratory mucosa. Damaged mucosa is more prone for infection. I recommend the following. 1) Quit smoking methamphetamine. Consult your doctor for the same. 2) A course of antibiotics. 3) Analgesic like tablet paracetamol for pain 4) Cough syrup containing debt to method phone, chlorpheniramine maleate, phenylephrine. You will be fine. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any questions, I am happy to help. Wish you a good health and speedy recovery. Regards, Dr Paparaja S MBBS MS Consultant ENT Surgeon
