Suggest Remedy For Irritation And Indent In The Middle Of Leg

Hi There,I have an irritation on the middle of my left leg, a couple of centimeters to the left of my shin. There is a small bump surrounded by a 2cm-3cm irritation (red skin and sore to touch). I ve had it for around 50 hours. At first, I thought it was a pimple so I tried popping it. When I did, a bit a black coloured blood came out, this relieved pain for a short while. Now, the bump is still there, however, the tissue surrounding it feels softer than usual and due to my pressing and popping the pimple, there is an indent on my leg where the irritation is.

Hello,

As per your case history you are having eczema on lower limb. My treatment advice is:

1. Do not scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like Mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
