Suggest Remedy For Itchy And Swollen Hands

Husband had knee replacement Monday 10/6/2014. He was using Hibiclens soap in shower as directed. On 10/14 his hands started itching and swelling. Went to ortho today 10/15 great report on knee and told to stop hibiclens immediately and take benedryl. No relief after using benedryl.

Your husband seems to have developed allergy over hands due to contact with the soap .
He should surely avoid its use .
Topical application of steroid creams will help .
Regular intake of oral antihistamines is required .
