I have a small reddish bump on the center area on my penis by the main vein. I was wondering what this could be. It doesn t really itch at all and doesn t bother me but it s new, showed up a few days ago and I m concerned. I recently shaved myself a few weeks ago and I had unprotected sex about 3 weeks ago. I also work in a hot factory all week long.Thank you, Chris Bliss
Since you are a factory employee, it could be a heat rash. Fungal infection also occurs in private area that are moist (sweaty) and warm. Take bath after work and clean your private area, keep it dry and clean. Follow hygiene. Wear loose fitting soft cotton clothes. You can take a course of antifungal (Fluconazole). Apply Clotrimazole cream, it will keep the infection under control.
Hydrocortisone ointment reduces itchiness. Taking an antihistamine at bed time controls allergy and itching. Meet a urologist if it persists, it can be due to STI, get STD tests done. If report is positive, you will get treated with antibiotics and antivirals. Avoid any sexual activity while you are being treated.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
