Suggest Remedy For Itchy Bumps
I have a bump on my upper thigh that started with a small white bump that popped fours days ago. Now it s a raised bump hard towards the center and dark like a bruise. It also has a itchy red ring around it. It s extremely painful. Is there a OTC for this until I can get to my physician?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having a furuncle.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for 5-7 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
