Suggest Remedy For Itchy Rashes On Legs And Arms While On Antibiotics

I have an itchy rash on the top of my legs, my thighs, back and tops of my arms. When scratched they come up in a blistery sore. I did have antibiotics a couple of weeks ago and they have seemed to develop and get worse since then but I finished taking them 10 days ago. I was just wondering if antihistamine would help

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain itching or urticaria and rashes after taking antibiotics can be due to antibiotics and it is a common side effect of antibiotics..
The symptoms are persistent as you have not taking any over the counter medications to reduce allergic reaction and it is true that anti allergics or anti-histamines will help..
I would suggest you to take anti allergics like Levocetrizine or Benadryl to relieve the itching and rashes..
You can also apply a steroid ointment over the rashes..
You can do cool compresses..
You can also apply Calamine lotion as it helps in soothing the skin and improve the symptoms.
Avoid vigorous scratching of the itchy areas as it will increase rashes and inflammation..
