Suggest Remedy For Itchy Skin On Ankles
Dear Sir,My wife felt itching on her ankle to day, she itches over there and makes wound, epidermal layer exposed, she applied itchgard over there, itchgard contains Boric acid with Zinc oxide and Cloromatozole, Then she realise a little burn and liquid swelling on it and applied water splash to remove the cream. Now it seems very reddish burn on skin till last 10 hours.Please advice what to do

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is papular urticaria or insect bite hypersensitivity.You should try to use mosquito nets as much as possible. Topical mild steroid cream like mometasone can be applied over the affected area. Avoid application of clotrimazole or zinc oxide. Oral antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used after consulting your dermatologist. Regards
