Suggest Remedy For Jutting Out Of Teeth After Removing Retainer
Hi. I got my braces off about 1 and a half years ago and was soon given a retainer to wear. I was told to wear the retainer 24 hours a day right after my braces were removed, and after 6 months, was advised to only wear it at night. I, after 4 months of adhering to a nightly schedule of putting on my retainer, soon decided to stop wearing it. For the past 9 months I have stopped wearing my retainer, and now, one of my teeth is slightly jutting out. What should I do to fix this problem? Is this normal? Thank you.

After getting your treatment complete this should mot happen, but in some cases this kind of jutting occurs when the patient has a problem of tongue thrusting, in which he pushes the teeth, to solve it you have to visit your dentist and get an appliance made for it.

hellooo...read thru ur query...i must say that tooth jutting out may be due to stoppage of wearing of retainer.some problems should wear retainer for long time...(retainer maintains the teeth in corrected position till all the gum fibres are arranged according to new position).v cant stop wearing(since vr wearing for months) it suddenly one day without dentist telling...(everything done by dentist is for a purpose or reason)nothing to be worried meet ur othodontist and he may give u treatment based on the present situation..be cool and dont worry..everything can be solved..hopeur benefitted something by thisreply...have a healthy day!!
