Suggest Remedy For Lightheadedness Due To Quitting Of Smoking Cold Turkey

I quit smoking cold turkey 7 days ago, for the last 4 days i have been constinantly lighted headed and dizzy, and overall my body just feels weird. I don t know it im describing it well, but its almost as if the lightheadedness comes in waves, like I can feel the blood rushing to my head all day. I am assuming that after 10 years of what is basically drug abuse it would take some time to adjust, but the contant light headedness is starting to freak me out and I have no clue where to begin.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
dear,
welcome to HCM
the symptoms you are reporting are suggestive of nicotine withdrawal.
it will take few couple of months to get normal without nicotine after the stop of smoking. Ideally a gradual reduction in smoking is advisable to have smooth detox process. In cold turkey the detox is rapid however associated with severe withdrawal symptoms.
A psychiatric consultation is advisable here as few drugs can be substituted for smooth detox.

welcome for further suggestions
