Suggest Remedy For Loss Of Voice Due To Sore Throat

Hi doctor ,
I have been sick all week with a slight sore throat and coughing . and now i completely lost my voice , my voice is completely gone. My coughing got worse , my phlem became thicker . my throat is hurting way worse than before. I have a dry cough and my phlem is dark yellow sometimes green

Hello,

You have an upper respiratory infection mainly affecting the throat and the voccal cords ( Pharyngolaryngitis).
If the sputum is dark yellow, it is likely to be bacterial and you require to take an antibiotic.
In addition you should also rest your voice. Steam inhalation can help loosen the phlegm so that you can bring it out easily.
