Hi,
This is most likely to be a Bartholin's cyst that has become inflamed. Apply a warm compress to the area or take a warm bath to relieve the pain. Your may benefit from antibiotics so I suggest you see your doctor. If it does not improve with antibiotics, then it can be removed by a small surgical procedure. This is not a serious problem and is quite common.
I hope this has reassured you.
Regards,
Dr K A Pottinger
