Hello, I have a large lump in between my rib cage that seems to be similar to the xiphoid process. It has been causing pain for many years around my rib cage all the way to my back and has been getting progressively worse. Now that I have lost weight I can see the bulge in between my rib cage.
Thanks for asking your question here in this forum.... Lum in the rib cage may arise from the skin, soft tissues or bone...its very important to know this...your history about duration ,mobility and fixity of the lump is important...but its important to tell you that the weight loss is not a good symptom...i will advise you to go to a surgeon and he will examin it and will give you the proper diagnosis...hope this will help you....thanks Dr ihsan
