I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth taken out on Monday Evening (It is Saturday now). The swelling has gone down a lot, but is still not back to normal. On my left jawline I have developed a large, hard bump. When I try to open my mouth, I feel stretching coming from around the lump. It is tender to the touch, but is not very painful otherwise. Should I be concerned? What can I do to make it go away?
Hi, It seems that there might be having enlarged tender sub-mandibular lymph nodes giving this problem. This might be due to extraction of wisdom teeth producing some infection and soreness at extraction site. You might be taking some antibiotic for this. Nothing to worry, when extraction will be healed up, you will be alright. Go for antiseptic lotion gargles. Ok and take care.
