Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,

I can understand the distress you must be in due to your symptoms. OCD is a highly distressing condition but is amenable to treatment.

You should talk to your parents regarding seeking a psychiatric consultation for yourself. Treatment with medications like fluvoxamine will be helpful. In addition, you can also opt for Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in form of exposure and response prevention. It will consist of sessions which will help in reducing the obsession and the compusions.

I do hope that I was able to answer your query. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
