Suggest Remedy For Migraines & Pain In The Shoulder Blade
I have a prolapsed disc at C7/C6 . I have been told I need yet another disc replacement. I already had 2 replaced in my lumbar region 2 years ago.. I have weakness in my right arm and shoulder, pins and needles and painful nerve pain around my shoulder blade. I an suffering from migraines that last 3 weeks at a time with permanent low grade migraines constantly. How long is it safe for me to be left waiting until my disc replacement. I don t want to be left with permanent nerve damage. Thank you Sue
I read your question carefully and understand your concern.
I would like to explain that there is not a specified period to wait. In this situation the most important things to evaluate are: - the grade of the herniation - the possible compression to the spinal cord - the pain, if it is unbearable and unresponsive to painkillers - the motor deficits in the arms
So I would recommend you to consult with the neurologist for a careful physical examination and a cervical spine MRI and to discuss with the neurosurgeon on the possibility of the intervention . A nerve conduction study may be necessary to evaluate the nerve damage.
Hope to have been helpful!
