Suggest Remedy For Muscular Weakness Followed By Numbness
I am 34 years old and female, before my 19th birthday I was a passenger in a severe MVA that caused my neck to loose as natural curvature. 2 nights ago, I started experiencing left arm pain and muscle weakness. The er diagnosed it as atypical chest pain. Today I woke up and I have left arm muscle weakness, severe neck stiffness that starts at the base of my head only on the left side and radiates down just above my left shoulder blade and severe ringing in my ears. The left side of my body was damaged in the MVA and I ve always know I had a section of my face that had nerve damage but when I moved my cheek I could never feel it. Now every time I move my left side of my face it feels stiff and I can feel numbness going across my nose. Should I be concerned and what could this possibly be?? I m on a few medications one of which is a muscle relaxer. I suffer from Hemiplegic migraines and I have mild Spondolathisis in my neck with degeberative disk disease in my lower back. Any ideas is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Jenn
Hello Jenn, I am sorry to hear about your accident. The symptoms you describe correlate to degenerative discs and nerve root compression in your neck and spine at multiple levels. Although muscle relaxants will soothe down the pain , they aren't a permanent solution to your ailment. I request you to kindly get an MRI done for your whole spine and a Nerve conduction study for both your upper limbs and visit a Neuro-surgeon at the soonest.
