Suggest Remedy For Nausea And Headache Due To Hitting Against Brick Wall

I hit my head against the brick wall of my house coming down off a stepping stool. I developed a big knot with a small laceration. I woke up this morning and was slightly nauseaed and now a pressure like headache is behind my right eye. I hit my head just above my right eye, a little to the left. What do I need to do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Nausea & headache after injury are indicative of some developing pathology. It can be due to some trauma in the brain & injury in the neck or skull. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get the required Blood & Imaging tests done.

Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. Get treated at the earliest. Stay away from addictions if any. Avoid stress & tension. You can apply Thrombophob ointment (to help reduce the blood clots)on the big knot you developed after hitting your head against the brick wall.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
