Hi,My nephew who is 6yrs old had 4 nose bleeds yesterday! for no apparent reason we think,he doesnt seem to have banged it,he says he hasnt pickd it,but u never know! should we take him to the doctor or does this sound quite normal?

In children, the most common cause is nasal pricking. Other possibilities like injuries or trauma or sinusitis or polyps etcetera. Until the examination, it is difficult to say what it is. Apply pressure for one to two minutes. Please consult your ENT specialist he will examine for the cause of nose bleed and treat you accordingly.
