Suggest Remedy For Numbness In The Area With Skin Burn

Hi I burned myself on my bike exhaust this morning (4 hours ago)-direct skin contact to the metal. Its not a severe burn as I flinched away immediately. I do expect it to heal normally (maybe without a scar) as the skin wan t broken. The burn is pale purple/grey and slightly raised and now feels dry.My worry is that aside from the initial moment, the burned area has almost no sensation. I m not in any pain. This is unlike any other burns I ve experienced before. Thanks for taking the time to reply ~Alex YYYY@YYYY

Hi Alex
Since it was not a severe or deep burn, dont worry. The skin that was in contact with the heat has burnt leaving the dark colour. And the burnt skin will probably peel off once its dries off. Dont peel it. It also wont have sensation as it is dead skin.
Keep the area open and dry. If there is any redness, pus or signs of infection you can apply a plain antiseptic ointment till it heals.
It should be fine in a few days.
Hope this helps.
