i have been feeling numbness on the joints of my hand and at the knees this is followed by me feeling lightheaded and week, this has been going on for 3 months now and i dont know what is causing it,i have seen a general practioner and yet he said there was nothing wrong with me,i dont believe this as i am not feeling better.
Numbness in the joints of the hand can be due to arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome. Numbness in the knee followed with lightheadness is commonly due to developing arthiritis, spinal disc issues, peripheral neuropathy, etc.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a neurologist, get nerve function & Imaging tests done.
Get CBC, Urinalysis & blood tests done to detect the pathology causing the discomfort.
In the meantime take food rich in vitamin B1, B6, B12 or supplements. Do regular exercises, walking. Avoid addictions if any. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected & your clinical condition.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Nupur k
