I cannot get medical care all of a sudden for no reason. I can t get into see a dr. and my drs. have dropped me or retired. I am a good patient and had a good relationship with my drs. I am labelled as a surgical risk because they can t hear lung sounds and I understand if I have a problem that could mean surgery, some drs. don t want to treat me but the mda clinic even denied me access! My general dr. wanted me to go for 2 l/2 yrs and I finally said I would go due to neurological problems but they did not take me. My ligaments have torn recently all over my body--I dont even have a dr. but saw an orthopedic dr. from Chicago who diagnosed it. I have never sued anyone and it is against my religion. I don t act stupid--was a medical social worker in fact. What should I do to get medical care? I appreciate any suggestions you have. I am very low income and in fact my insurance is the STate of IL which is not paying their bills, but even drs. who take it are suddenly not taking me. This has all happened very recently, since the orthopedic problems developed.
