Suggest Remedy For Pain And Soreness In Knee

As I was playing a game of basketball, I went up for a very close shot, or layup, and landed on my right leg straight and immediately I felt a sharp aching pain on the right side of my right knee that lasted for about 2 minutes. After being on the ground for that time, I was able to trot and walk on it again. Arriving home shortly after, I iced the side that was in pain and kept the knee elevated for most of the time in about 6 or 7 hours. There s still some pain when walking and a slight limp. I need to know what kind of damage I might have done to my knee...

After going through your query I concluded that you may be having soft tissue injury knee. However you can exclude fracture by x ray. Treatment of this is icing and rest.
