Hello,

You have constant upper pain in calves. You are iron deficient and bruise easily. Massaging is painful due to bruises. Pain in the calves commonly occurs due to strained muscle or torn muscle. You run but avoid running for a couple of days. Give rest to your legs. Stop running or doing any physical activity to avoid further damage to the calf. Apply ice packs or cold compress for relieve. If leg is swollen compression bandage will help. To reduce swelling and fluid buildup by apply compression bandage or wrap to the injured area.

Leg cramps are also felt in people who have potassium and vitamin B12 deficiency. Stay well hydrated and take food rich in vitamin B6 and B12. To cure torn muscles, Rest your injured leg. Wrap your lower leg with an elastic bandage to reduce inflammation and swelling. Both strained or torn muscle can cause bleeding, which causes bruising. You can apply Ointment Thrombophob on the bruise to reduce blood clots under the skin. You can take pain relieving medicines like Combiflam or Naproxen, once when required for relieve.

You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get required tests and investigation done. Walking on recovering calf muscles can also increase recovery time but do not get exhausted. In case of severe pull or torn muscles you may be recommended surgery. If you have to have surgery for a severe pull in your calf muscle, it may take several weeks or months before you fully recover.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
