Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I feel like something is stuck in my esophagus. I am taking primrose oil capsule and grapeseed oil capsule. I tried drinking warm drinks, lots of water and juices, but nothing works. I encountered this feeling before. What should I do? Please help. Thank you so much :)
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of feeling like something is stuck in the esophagus, taken water, Primrose oil capsule and grapeseed oil capsule but nothing works. Wants to know what should be done... Considering the history you have given the most probable diagnosis is severe esophagitis if of a short duration. But should consider strictures and cancer if the symptoms of long standing. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get an upper GI Endoscopy done to see and know what exactly is the problem to plan the proper treatment. Till you get this done continue taking plenty of water and juices, electrolyte solution. Get the tests of blood, urine and stool also done to correct any thing that comes positive.
