Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I suffered a very bad dead leg on Saturday, its now Friday and the pain is still sever. When I stand up from my desk after only 10 minutes my knee feels hot and ready to explode. Im concerned ive done some real damage and possible clots as my toes feel numb sometimes.
Your symptoms could be suggestive of a pinched nerve. As long as there is no change in the leg skin color (white or bluish), no swelling and no changes in temperature (too warm or too cold), there is no reason to panic about a blood clot. For this reason, I recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam and performing nerve conduction studies.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
