Suggest Remedy For Pain In Ribs & Stomach

my thirteen year old son has been complaining of pain under the right side of rib cage. He had a fever and sore throat last week and was treated for strep. He has been on meds five days now. He says pain radiates to middle stomach and seems tender in upper addomen. Should be return doctor, even though fever and sore throat are gone?

control.

* Guidelines for stomach ache ( which may be drug induced ache )

- No need to rush to doctor in emergency .
- Allow him plenty liquids .
- Prefer soft , light diet .
- Avoid oily , spicy stuffs .

- Addition of proton pump inhibitor as omeprazole ( 20 ) mg once daily
with sips of water on empty stomach helps a lot .
- If later after 24 hours , if pain then consult your doctor .
