hello doctor. i have had pain on my left pelvic area for about 4 months now, and it has only gotten worse over time. it is daily, and often. it is to the point where my belt even touching over the skin hurt. it feels as if someone's pushing over my ovary. my left pelvis area gives me no problems however.so i recently had a sonogram where they mostly focused on the left problem area. it concluded that the "right ovary is 4.6x2.2x2.7cm with a 3.3x1.6cm cyst. the left ovary's measured at 2.8x1.4x2.5cm. no mass or abnormal fluid, but a small amount of free fluid in the cul-de-sac."i'm not an expert in this area but is it possible they confused the sides? can a "small amount" of fluid on my left cause all this discomfort? but i have a high tolerance to pain and it has taken a lot to suck up my pride and admit something's off. i am surprised because i was sure the cyst was on the left and don't know what to do next.
