Suggest Remedy For Painful Bruise Due To Getting Hit

Banged my left yesterday getting out of a Jeep in Gran Canaria. Big bruise has formed and is a little painful and hot to touch. Have applied Thrombocid forte 5mg supplied by pharmacist today. and have been icing it. Have I done enough? Am on holiday here til next Monday. Thanks

Big bruise develops due to collection of blood under the skin .it will take some time to resolve . In addition to Rest ,ice and thrombocid you can take an analgesic such as ibuprofen to decrease pain. If pain ,redness and local temperature suddenly increases, it means it got infected .then u will have to consult your physician and start antibiotic .

on a large bruise thrombocid and icing will definitely helpful to reduce discoloration and swelling. but to reduce inflammation produced by injury you should add anti-inflammatory analgesic such as diclofenac or ibuprofen for 4-5 days . it will also decrease pain and give comfort.
