Suggest Remedy For Painful Legs And Feet In The Elderly
I m 70 years old I swim laps everyday, and have total cholesterol 280, can t take statins, I eat very healthy, lots of fruit and veggies and mainly seafood and some chicken. I have pain in feet and legs day and night lately what should I do??? Laying on back at night helps.
The pain in legs with history of high cholesterol is concerning for peripheral artery disease (PAD). PAD is the occlusion of blood vessels with atherosclerotic plaque, resulting in decreased blood flow and pain. Doppler blood flow analysis of legs is warranted as initial evaluation. Please be advised to follow up with your primary provider for necessary evaluation. Continue swimming and quit smoking, if you do so.
