Suggest Remedy For Painful Sores In The Nose

Last night my left nostril felt like it was a little sore, like i had a cut maybe. This morning i woke up, my left nostril is a little swollen and painful, there is no redness that i can tell. Also partly around, mostly under, my left jaw line is swollen and hurts when I touch the swollen area.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Give hot fomentation in the nose and follow up after 1 week. If it does not get relieved then start an antibiotic. Give hot fomentation in the jaw swelling.

If the jaw swelling is big enough, then we have to do an USG (Ultrasonography) neck to know the contents of the swelling.

If the nose and jaw swelling gets painful, and the swelling increase in size, then we have to give an incision and drain the swelling and start an antibiotic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajat Basak
