Suggest Remedy For Painful To Touch, Flaky Patch On Forehead Due To Burn
I burnt my forehead a couple of years ago on holiday, ever since the patch that was burnt is still very red on somedays and hurts to touch with flaky skin. I've had this now for two years I use e45 onit but doesn't seem to be working. Shall I go see my doctor??
Seems to me a case of Seborrheic dermatitis since it is very unlikely that a sunburn would persist for 2 years. Seborrheic dermatitis can affect the scalp, face, chest and back. It presents with scaly red patches which are itchy.
If I was your treating doctor I would have advised that you use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone twice daily for 2 weeks which should make it fine.
regards
