I am a 20 year old male with a red mark on the shaft of my penis . I woke up with it 2 days ago . It was just a red mark at first but I assumed it was one of the white marks that are common so I squeezed it hoping that would get anything that was iritating the skin out . I think we have bedbugs so I m assuming I was bitten . If so do I need medical attention , or can I treat it myself ?
According to the history given above this is probably just a case of bug bite. Were I your doctor, I would: 1) Prescribe you Levocitrizine for a few days 2) Prescribe you Lacto-calamine lotion for the same 3) If this did not improve your problem, would take detailed sexual history 4) Order an STD panel 5) If any test were to come positive, treat for the same.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
